C70 + 18-80mm Cine Servo Lens

I've been using the Canon C70 for a good while now as a secondary camera to the PXWz280 for cine / lifestyle / slomo / product purposes. I've been limited to wide angle lenses though and after some recommendations I went for the 18-80mm Canon Cine Servo lens to add to the arsenal and actually try some handheld pans and zooms with something other than the Pxwz280. The 18-80 is a bit of a strange hybrid lens really.. but it'll also enable me to shoot various different focal lengths with one lens - very handy for run and gun stuff. It's also very, very sharp and the bokeh is great.

Left, my trusty Sony PXWz280 workhorse camcorder with Rode NTG2 microphone. Great combination and is my bread and butter. Replaced my Panasonic HCx1000.

The main draw for me was the option to pan and zoom like I usually would, but with a much higher res image that has way more colour options in post.

​It's a bit of a cumbersome rig attached to the C70 so I need to figure out some ergonomic issues, but so far it seems like a great combination. Some sample clips and images below.
